Kevin Burton Steps Down

11 Nov 2015 by Campbell Ballantyne

State League First Team coach Kevin Burton has announced that he has decided not to continue in the role in 2016. IN his resignation letter he mentioned the decision was not taken at all lightly, but after thoroughly enjoying his time spent at the Australian masters hockey championships he has decided he wishes to spend his Saturday afternoons playing hockey. He is not moving to another club and was full of praise for the playing group.

Kevin has completed his course work for his AFC A license and is a highly experienced coach, the club is sad to see him go, but Kevin offered to help out where he can.The club thanks him for his service and the State League group will be holding a BBQ in the coming weeks to thank him for his time.

The search for a new coaching team for 2016 is well and truly underway, but has had a slight delay due to travel commitments of a lead candidate and myself.

Should any players or officials have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch
