State League Goalkeeping Coach

Portfolio or responsibilities would include
• Running training sessions specifically to goalkeeping State League, but invitations are extended to youth and commitment goalkeepers from the clubs lower grades
• Running training and match day warm-ups and cooldowns for goalkeepers
• Working with the first team coach on integrating the Goalkeeping program into football sessions\
• Contributing to team strategy/selection discussions
• Set up of team structure at defensive set pieces

Commitment – Tuesday and Thursday evenings (we could work with only 1 for an excellent candidate) and match days. Remuneration would be honourarium style in line with our coach remuneration schedule which is dependent on the experience and qualifications you hold. Ideally, we are looking for a person who already holds Goalkeeping coaching certification, but for the right candidate, the club can support you towards the qualification.

This role is vacant now so if you wanted to start and contribute for the remainder of the 2018 season that is possible. Current Curtin students studying relevant disciplines strongly encouraged to apply.

State League Assistant - Technical development outfield players

Portfolio or responsibilities would include

  • The role primarily exists to improve the individual technical skill of players
  • Develop individual plans for each player with technical strengths and weaknesses
  • create practices to work on weaknesses in small groups
  • Have a portfolio of positional specific practices that work in small groups of 3/4 players.
  • use video analysis for individual technical improvement (as opposed to game video analysis which is about tactical team improvement). This role would be comparable to a golf swing coach when it comes to striking the ball first touch etc, body shape in one on ones etc.
  • one on one coaching sessions

COACHes AMATEur men's - Head coach role available

Curtin University Football Club is seeking coaches for its 2 Sunday League Amateur teams for the 2019 season. Internal applicants are welcome to apply and coaching remuneration packages are available.

We are looking to fill a head coach role and one reserve team coach. Take control of a highly motivated multicultural playing group with a mix of young and experienced players, eager to improve and push for promotion. Training is Tuesday and Thursday nights.

metropolitan men's

We are looking for player coaches / managers for our metro teams 5 teams. These teams tend to operate in pairs with another squad so we look to have 3 organisers between two teams. Training is once a week and we have some teams that train Wednesday and some Thursday in 2018, but we are open to changes to this based on the coaches. This role would be a perfect introduction to coaching, expectations for training session would be occasional fitness or practice drills, but as this is mainly a participation level training is mainly either small games or full games with other metro teams.



Lets play saturday - coaches

This our in house program for 8s-11s. It is running now until xmas and will start again after Summer school holidays. 10am for 2 hours. You will work alongside our very highly qualified Technical director. A great place to start out your coaching.


Thursday in house fustal - CoachEs / coordinators

We are loloking to launch a new product of Thursday night futsal for 12-18 year olds , both boys and girls. This product is mainly faciliating the games / set up rather than coaching.


JUNIOR COACHING OPPORTUNITIES


Join us for season 2019

Our club will provide you with the support and resources you will need to be an effective coach of a team of players in this age group, facilitating training sessions and organising game day player involvement

Prospective candidates are not all required to have coaching experience as training will be provided prior to season commencement. You will be supported by the Club's Technical Director (E: techdirector@curtinfootball.com) who will also coordinate additional coach development courses and CPD meetings during the season.

The structure set out below is designed to create 'Coaching Partnerships' where coaches and assistants work together as a group to encourage support, feedback and development. This is augmented by club volunteer staff, parents and committee to create a positive environment for player and coach development alike.

A remuneration package is place on a sliding scale based upon experience and qualifications however the below roles are also accompanied with payment for coaching courses, provision of coaching equipment and coaching uniform.

Role Overview

  • Attendance
    • Training: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:30 pm during school term + pre-season starting early March
    • Games: Sunday mornings for approx 60 minutes, mostly during school term. Game start times vary slightly between age group and according to opposition.
  • Duties:
    • Work in coaching sessions to playing groups of approx. 9-13 players.
    • Working in partnership, teams will run as a squad of two teams with:
      • One Lead Coach per team
      • One Assistant Coach shared across the squad
    • Deliver club lesson plans for relevant age group
    • Attendance of regular coach development meetings with the Curtin Football Technical Director, including assistance/input into player assessment/progression.
  • Benefits:
    • Applied experience of working with children within a community based organisation
    • Supply of professional references for future positions working within related areas (e.g., applied sport/ teaching)
    • Coaching uniform supplied by club.


8-12 YEARS PHASE

Lead Coach

  • Specific Duties:
    • Take a lead role in preparing for, understanding and delivering lesson plans
    • Work with your partner Coach and Assistant Coach as a squad
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 2 years coaching experience
    • Football West Grass Roots Coaching Certificate completed prior to season (club will cover costs)
    • Working with Children clearance (club will cover costs)
  • Remuneration/Benefits:
    • Remuneration: $395

Assistant Coach

  • Specific Duties:
    • Understand lesson plans and work with Lead Coaches in delivering them to players.
  • Qualifications:
    • No coaching experience necessary
    • Completion or enrolment in Football West Grass Roots Coaching Certificate (club will cover costs)

  • 5-7's Miniroos coaches - we currently run a program Wednesday night, but we would open a second night if we can recruit more coaches. This would open up more options for more children to join the club
  • Inhouse programs - If you are interested in helping run one of our inhouse programs or starting a new one we would love to hear from you
  • Junior Goalkeeping Coach - provision of GK coaching sessions across age ranges. Experience is not essential for this role as training can be provided.
