Dear members

CLUB UPDATE – GRADUAL RETURN TO FOOTBALL

As you might have suspected, further relaxation of Social Distancing Laws (‘SDL’) would inevitably lead to return to training – therefore as we are gearing up for reopening and the resumption of our normal club activities we feel it is appropriate at this juncture to give you some indication of what lies ahead and what we intend to do for you next.

Registration

As a precondition to compete in the Football West’s home and away season the re registration process is mandatory, however we intend to offer it to our members at substantially reduced rates; partially to recognise the fact that many of our members (if not all) have been affected by the Pandemic in one way or another and secondly we appreciate the fact the competition season will now be for a shorter duration. We will let you know ahead of time when we will be commencing our re- registration and pricing structures.

Important: Please note our club is an approved KidSport partner – in that respect you may wish to make enquiries ahead of time to see if you or anyone else you know may qualify for KidSport support vouchers. For further information please check the link below:

Training

In keeping with phase 2 and 3 relaxation of SDL, normal trainings will be modified and fine-tuned to meet the necessary benchmarks – we will in that regard provide further update to the parents and our coaches.

BUT YOU MUST ACT QUICKLY …

In March 2020 we took the decision to de-register all our members and refunded the registration fees in full, although this decision was entirely motivated to benefit our members, the decision in effect to release all our members comes at a cost to our club which will put us significantly at disadvantage. We always knew of the risks and are proud of the fact that we were able to act decisively and expeditiously putting your interest and our members ahead of the club.

However this will no doubt present some challenges for us as we don’t have a great deal of time to regroup when our club reopens – in that respect once the registration is declared open, it would only provide a small window of opportunity for our previous members to re-register therefor you are pre-warned in order to avoid disappointments you must act fast as we simply don’t have the luxury of time that we once enjoyed in stretching out the registration deadlines.

Help!!
We need you to be our club’s school ambassador

CUFC is seeking expression of interest from individuals, parents, guardians and/or supporters of all primary and secondary schools within our catchment area to act as our club liaison person in your own school.
This task is not onerous by any starch of imagination and it will only attract minimum time and commitment on your part. The task will require you to communicate our message to the relevant sport’s coordinator, deputy principal or the principal in your school, from time to time; you may be asked to display a flyer in the noticeboard or pass on information or pamphlets about our programs and generally act as an intermediary person for FOOTBALL for the duration of the season from time to time.

If you are able to help us we would love to hear from you! So please feel free to email us c/- vicepresident@curtinfootball.com
