ABOUT KICK-OFF

Our U5-7's MiniRoos Kick-Off programs are designed for girls and boys born in the ranges below:

Program year 2025
Boys and girls born in 2018 - 2020
This is a very entry level program as the first step into organised football
Exceptions can be made the years above as this is an entirely in-house program..  Example a 7 year old who has done 6 terms since the age of 5 will be ready to move to Mini Roos Club Football, however if brand new to the game this is a great place for anyone to start.

The program focuses on short, game-based sessions to introduce football to newcomers in a fun and inclusive way. We create an environment that is fun, engaging, and inclusive and focuses on enjoyment rather than results as the more fun kids have, the more likely they are to continue playing.

Our MiniRoos Kick-Off program is about having fun playing football and developing fundamental skills with friendly games and mixed 4v4 or 5v5 games.

Flexibilty.

Classes run at various days, times and venues.  We are constantly looking to expand our the days and times we offer the program.  The best way to find times that suit you is on our class booking software.

Direct technical coaching is not the aim of the sessions.  Rather, we aim to develop motor coordination and basic skills implicitly through a 'deliberate play' approach.  Deliberate play refers to the use of enjoyable, interactive games that bring about physical, technical and social skills without player awareness.

This program provides a platform for continued engagement in club football at higher levels and age groups, providing a reasonably seamless path to U8 and beyond.

We've even been featured on Football West's "Football 360" program!

Schedule

We use a calendar booking system but as a general rule sessions run in a patter during school terms. We currently offer;

Wednesday Afternoons - 4pm

Sunday Mornings - 9am

Starting April 2025 we will add

Thursday Afternoons and Saturday mornings

We kick off 2025 with a come and try session on 5th Feb and then we take bookings from 12th of March.  The come and try session can be accessed for free using the code "comeandtry5to7"
