Football West will soon be hosting a
free introductory coaching session at Raphael Park.
This session is aimed at:
- Any parents/guardians who would like some insight into how they can support the running of basic games with children.
- New coaches looking to get some new ideas of how to deliver sessions with younger players.
The Miniroos Certificate, which uses short, game-based sessions to introduce football to newcomers in an inclusive way and will give you chance to ask any questions you have around how to support a soccer session.
The 2 hour course, designed for kids aged four to nine years, is fully practical and encourages the coach/parent to develop practices that are safe, fun an enjoyable.
The nation-wide program puts an emphasis on natural development, being active, making life-long friends and potentially unearthing the next generation of Socceroos or Matildas.
No coaching but organising FUN football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game.
Another highlight of the course is that the coaches and parents are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
Please note, there is no commitment to coach by attending the course. It is simply an open, informative session to all who maybe interested in knowing more about how they can support our junior teamsThe session will take place the same time as the junior children train. So if you drop your children off to their usual coaching session why not hang around and join us by registering below!
