Join us for the Margaret River Football Tournament weekend. A long-standing club tradition and highlight of the pre-season calendar. It’s great value, even greater fun and builds team/club spirit leading into the season ahead.

• WHEN: Arrive afternoon/evening on Friday 1st March, returning afternoon on Sunday 3rd March 2024.
• WHO: This year we have a women’s team, a men’s team, and a men’s masters team
• COST: We’ve tried to keep costs to a minimum and make everyone welcome. Please see ticketing options below.

1. ACCOMMODATION & TOURNAMENT
• Including two night’s accommodation at club sponsor Margaret’s Beach Resort. Includes swimming pool, sauna, alfresco BBQ area and bar with restaurant. Accommodation and tournament fees all included.

2. ACCOMMODATION ONLY – NOT PLAYING
• Accommodation as above, but not playing i.e. for partners etc.

3. TOURNAMENT ONLY – NO ACCOMMODATION
• Tournament nomination to play (organise your own accommodation)

4. KIDS ACCOMMODATION
• Rollaway bed in shared apartment

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
We have multiple two-storey townhouses, two-bedroom apartments, and one-bedroom apartments. As well as queen bedrooms for couples, there are single beds in twin share rooms available – there’s a question during checkout re: who you’d prefer to share a room with. You can also include a note at the end of checkout if needed and Conor, Jake, and JJ will allocate the accommodation together to make sure everyone is looked after. 👍

YOUR TEAM’S ITINERARY
Always flexible, but as a guide:

FRIDAY:
• Check in at Margaret’s Beach Resort (MBR) from 3pm. Meet your team organiser at the pool area to collect your keys and then join us for tunes and chats. Address is: 1 Resort Place, Gnarabup Beach, Margaret River WA 6285

SATURDAY:
• Game 1 normally around 9-10am. All games at Gloucester Park Football Oval, Margaret River. Support Football MR and buy one of their world-class Bacon & Egg Breakfast Rolls.
• Game 2 around 12-1pm … then lunch at the ground or pub lunch in town.
• Game 3 KO around 3pm
• Back to MBR for shower/swim and re-hydration + Happy Hour at the Gnarabar (near the pool area) from 5-7pm
• Dinner we normally order in pizza, but your team manager will coordinate.
• Party and grandiose stories about how well we played and all the goals we almost scored.
Optional bus/maxi taxi to take anyone wanting to go into town.

SUNDAY:
• Game 4 around 10am. Think ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ with orange shirts and a football.
• Checkout of accommodation. We will try to arrange late checkout for some rooms where possible, to allow players shower and change.
• Optional quarter final around midday so timing may change but otherwise …
• Lunch at a local brewery by popular vote.
• Head home.
