We’re excited to announce our upcoming CUFC Club Day, including a junior tournament running alongside our Annual General Meeting (AGM), and followed by a club-wide social event.
This is your opportunity to get more involved in our fantastic community, meet new people, and help shape the future of our club. We would love to see as many of current and prospective junior and senior members come down and connect with each other.
Day: Saturday November 16th, 2024
Time: 3.00pm- 6.00pm
Location: Curtin University, Edinburgh Oval Club Rooms
Event Timings3:00pm-4:30pm – Supervised Junior Small-Sided Tournament for ages 6-8 and 9-13 year olds with prizes. This will be running alongside our AGM to let parents join us in peace!
4:30pm-6:00pm – Summer Sundowner: Paella and Craft Beer Event!… And the professionally catered Paella is on the house! Plus a free soft drink for all junior players.
Just make sure you ‘buy’ a free ticket here on TeamApp to enter players into the junior tournament and attend social event.
Event BackgroundAs a community-run football club we endeavour to keep our player registration fees as low as possible through the support of many fantastic volunteers helping run our operations and club sponsorships. As part of this club day, we are actively looking for passionate individuals to join our amazing team of volunteers across various areas of our club. Whether you have experience or just want to contribute to a positive environment for our junior and senior players, we’d love to have you on board!
Ways in which you can support our community club:Club Treasurer (
Please nominate below. Oversees our club’s finances, requiring a few hours a week during season. Perfect for someone with a background in finance or bookkeeping-Critical, we really need one of these!).
Club Secretary (
Please nominate below. Manages club communications and administrative tasks, requiring a 1-2 hours a week. Ideal for someone organised with good communication skills- Critical, we really need one of these!).
Social Sub-Committee (Senior and Junior): Organise social events that bring your part of our community club together.
Marketing Sub-Committee: Ideally, we’d love one representative from each school in the area, plus a couple of university students to help spread the word about our club and activities.
Equipment Sub-Committee: Help manage and maintain our sports equipment at Raphael Park and Edinburgh Oval.
Grants and Sponsorship Sub-Committee: Assist in securing funding through grants and sponsors.
Fund Raising Sub-Committee: Drive initiatives to raise essential funds for our club.
Junior Carnival Sub-Committee: Help organise an amazing carnival for our junior players.
Food & Beverage: Assist in providing refreshments during games and events.
IT & Communication Support: Ensure smooth communication within the club, and help maintain our IT needs.
Media & Graphics: Support our media and promotional material creation.
Summer Social Football (Juniors and Seniors): Help organise social games during the summer.
Planning and Development: Play a key role in shaping our club’s future.
If none of these catch your eye but you’ve noticed another area of the club that better suits your skills or availability, just let us know. All these roles receive free playing fees for yourself or junior player and can be shared as at team if you’d like to get involved as a group.
