Curtin Academy is pleased to announce lunching Futsal Performance Program (“FPP”) as one of our core programs. Targeting players who consistently demonstrate high levels of commitment, have a positive ‘Growth Mindset’ and are keen to learn new skills. It is aimed to help our football players to improve their ball control, speed and agility, range and accuracy and most importantly enhancing decision making processes.

FPP runs throughout the year and comprises of two main components:

Game Based Component, which commences during each school term and aims to improve players skills and ability through actual futsal match experience. There will be limited coaching as the focus is on maximising playing time. And:

Futsal Clinics, which will be running during the school holidays and the Summer breaks: the sessions are delivered by professional futsal coaches with a view to improve player skills and ability by focusing on players’ technical knowledge and tactical performance. The sessions are intended to develop the players for inclusion into States Futsal League (“SFL”) and help to create better football players as the skill sets acquired by the futsal players are directly transferable from indoor courts to the outdoor fields.

Let’s Play Futsal is the Game Based Component of FPP which will be commencing in Term 4 on Saturdays and is expected to continue during the school terms next year. Although both components are mutually exclusive they work in conjunction and are complimentary. It is highly recommended for committed futsal/football players to take part and participate while they are afforded the opportunity, as we expect the programs to be oversubscribed due to the limitation on numbers of participants in each age category.
